On Sunday, September, 12 we are holding our 5k Run/1-Mile Family Walk/ Kids' Dash again this year! After a VERY successful event last year with over 250 participants, we are looking forward to an even better event this year! The course is USTAF certified and certain to be fun for everyone! Our event takes place at Independence Grove by the Children's Grove Playground.
Schedule
9:00 am - Kids' Dash. There will be 2 heats (7 and under and 8 - 11). We will begin lining the kids up at 8:40 am. Registration for the Kids' Dash also includes registration for the 1-Mile Family Walk. Kids who participate in the 5k are not eligible to run in the Kids' Dash.
9:15 am - The 5k run will begin. The family walk starts immediately following the 5k.
10:15 am (approximately) - Awards ceremony
We will have standard race food and a Mexican fiesta with food by On the Border. Skates, the Chicago Wolves mascot, will be at the event and music will be provided by Charizma.
Registration:
Register by August 20 to take advantage of lower registration fees: $20 individual / $50 family (maximum of 4 family members). Fees after August 20: $25 individual / $60 family. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee t-shirts for registrations after August 20.
