How You Can HelpWe are looking for donations and sponsorships from fine establishments and businesses/organizations like yours to truly The Lexi Kazian Foundation — Helping From Heaven is dedicated to improving the comfort and quality of life for children with special needs! Many children who have special needs require special services and equipment in order to help them thrive. This costs money and many families simply do not have the resources to be able to get the right therapy equipment, specialized toys, services and comfort features. This can lead to further delays in their progress. Through our special Angel, Lexi, who died when she was just two years old, our foundation has created three main ways that we focus on improving the comfort and quality of life for children with special needs. The foundation serves as a collection point for people to donate gently used therapy equipment that is no longer needed or has been outgrown. Additionally we provide over $25,000 worth of grants to families for new equipment we do not have in our closet each year. This equipment has been delivered literally all over the world! Free events for families who have children with special needs children are planned, provided and paid for by the foundation to allow them the opportunity to socialize in a low stress atmosphere to support one another, make new friends and share valuable resources with one another. The foundation has been involved in making donations to help make playgrounds that kids of all abilities can enjoy a reality. Since 2006 we have donated over $100,000 to help build playgrounds for children with special needs in mind. Some of the locations are Libertyville–Independence Grove, Wilmette–Ramona School, Chicago–Stock School, Port Washington, WI and our most recent partnership is in Buffalo Grove at the Alcott center. Our goal is to create a place where children with special needs can play side by side with their friends and siblings or enjoy the playground while they are at school while playing with their classmates. Your generosity will help many children with special needs and make a difference. |
