The Lexi Kazian Foundation makes a $75,000 donation

The LKF is excited to announce it has partnered with the Lake County Forest Preserve District (LCFPD) to build a playground at Independence Grove for children with special needs. The playground will be designed to benefit children of all skills and abilities but will have a special focus on providing accessibility and adaptability for those with special needs. The playground is under construction and plans to be open in July 2006! We are doing Dinner Around Lake County and a Golf outing to help fund this project! The Lexi Kazian Foundation helps children with special needs affected by Hurricane Katrina.

The Lexi Kazian Foundation (LKF) assisted families affected by Hurricane Katrina who have children with special needs. Funds were raised by the Westfield Works Wonders event in November 2005. The LKF partnered with the Village of Vernon Hills sister city Ocean Springs Mississippi school district to provide assistance where it was needed most. Families were provided with Almost $2000 worth of gift certificates to make the holidays a little brighter. The schools life skills program was funded with $1250. It was a great opportunity for our organization to reach out and help those who needed it.

September 24, 2006 TBA - Lexi's 4th Birthday Party

This will be a family networking event for those families who have children with special needs. We are planning a special birthday party at the Lake County Forest Preserve Playground. We will provide the food and entertainment and Lexi will provide the sunshine.

December - Holiday Party for Lexi's Special Friends

This will be a family networking event for those families who have children with special needs. Our foundation will provide a special holiday party for Lexi's special friends. We will be honored with a special visit from Mr. & Mrs. Claus who will provide gifts for all the children. We will keep you posted on the date and time.
